As much as I was fascinated by Reese Witherspoon's performance, I was also intrigued by the 'alibi' the fitness instructor who was falsely accused of murder provided.

Years later when I chose to become a plastic surgeon, I was eagerly looking forward to performing this procedure and when I finally got to do it, I was amazed by its simplicity and its results.
So what really does Liposuction mean?
Well, to begin with, it is not a weight loss procedure, but a body contouring procedure.
It is meant for people who have controlled their weight with diet and exercise regimes, but are still left with certain areas of stubborn fat which refuse to respond to these methods.
These areas of body commonly are - the double chin, belly fat, muffin top, love handles, bra rolls, banana rolls saddle bags, buttocks and thighs.
Liposuction technique involves infiltrating these areas with fluid introduced through tiny incisions taken in hidden creases of the body, which liquify the fat. This fat is then sucked out with the help of tiny cannulae. At times we can use certain energy sources like vibration or ultrasound energy to break the fat.
Over the years liposuction techniques have become more and more refined to reduce contour abnormalities and also give a sculpted appearance.
